Lactarius cyathula (Fr.) Fr. syn. L. clethrophilus Romagn. Zwergmilchling.
Very similar to L. obscuratus but cap brighter coloured without olive tinges, tawny to russet or cinnamon, sometimes with darker centre, which is usually wrinkled and lumpy, and tending to be larger, 13–17mm across or even reaching 35mm. Stem 16–40 x 2–4mm, pale tawny. The gills are also more distinctly decurrent and are thicker and well spaced. Spores 6.5–7.5 x 5.2–6.5 ì and similarly ornamented. Habitat and season as for L. obscuratus with which it is often found. Occasional. Not edible. Found In Europe.
